TWO WAYS TO TAKE THE 2017 NATIONAL FRENCH CONTEST

ON-LINE TESTING WITH IMMEDIATE SCORING is now available.  Students may use desk-top computers, tablets, laptops or even smart phones to take the test.  Teachers will be able to proctor their own students and all levels can test at the same time since answers to questions will be randomized.  All students in a given level will no longer have to test at the same time.  Ear buds/headphones will be required, however.  At the end of the test, the student will see his/her score.  Teachers will be able to access the score as well.  Allotted time will remain 60 minutes and students can do the listening part at one sitting and the rest of the test at another (divided testing procedure).

REVIEW MATERIALS FOR 2017:

Teachers who chose paper and pencil testing must purchase paper copies of the review materials as usual.  The link for ordering materials from National is on the home page, bottom right.

PAPER AND PENCIL TESTING will continue to be an option for schools that are not technologically equipped to handle on-line testing.  All current rules and guidelines will apply (i.e., teacher may not proctor his/her own students, all students in a level test at the same time, etc.).  Allotted time will remain 60 minutes and students can do the listening part at one sitting and the rest of the test at another (divided testing procedure).  Results will be returned to teachers in mid-April.  Since National will be sending testing materials directly to the school’s designated site director, postage charges will apply.
